In view of the development of new communication and computer tools, the Lions Club of Luxembourg International asbl ("the Club") considers it necessary to pay the greatest attention to the protection of privacy. This is why we are committed to respecting the confidentiality, integrity and security of the personal information you entrust to us.

THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may need to collect your personal information for a number of reasons: to process your personal data as a Lions member, to process your requests or bookings for an activity organised by the Club, to process your correspondence or as part of a contractual relationship or agreement, etc.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA? 

Personal data, communicated by you or the company that employs you, or legitimately received by the Club may be processed in order to :

  • To ensure the operation of the Club's social projects and activities
  • Register for activities organised by the Club
  • Manage contracts and agreements
  • Managing disputes and collecting debts
  • Paying for various services

The personal data provided may be processed by the Club for direct marketing purposes in order to inform friends and acquaintances of the Club about our activities.

HOW DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA? 

We will only share your personal data with your consent or if it is necessary to carry out a service you have requested or authorised as part of an organisation you have registered for. Your personal data may be shared with service providers working on our behalf, acting as subcontractors who may need access to personal data in order to provide support to the Club at our organisations. In such cases, these companies must comply with our data privacy and security requirements and are not permitted to use the personal data we provide to them for any other purpose. We also share your data where required by law, to respond to legal proceedings, for the management of litigation and debt collection, and for the payment of benefits.

TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION 

With the exception of our own members' personal data, the Club does not transfer personal data outside the European Union.

The personal information we collect is kept in a secure environment. Club members are educated to respect the confidentiality of information.

RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA 

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the products and carry out the transactions you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. As these needs may vary for different types of data in the context of different products, actual retention periods may vary considerably.

RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, LIMITATION AND OPPOSITION 

Cluib adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation EU/2016/679 regarding data protection and guarantees you the following rights: if the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can consult your personal data, have them corrected and restricted. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority, the CNPD.
